String design is a beautiful form of art.  Whether you are just beginning or more advanced makes no difference.  No experience is necessary.  Participants will be provided with their choice of a greeting card along with 3 choices of designs to put on the front of a greeting card.  Attached are the 3 designs that will be available sunflower, butterfly, and at the end of class all participants will be able to take home their completed card.  

Also several patterns for string art will be available for all to go through at their convenience.  Class is limited to 10 participants.  Register early.

July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza

July 3-8, 2020

Aboard the 600 passenger Captain JP III, the largest cruise vessel in the New York Region, enjoy an all day cruise on the Hudson River.  Beautiful views and sightseeing, meals, entertainment and relaxation are on the agenda today.  Our final destination is the NYC Harbor for the nation's most extravagant fireworks display, The Annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Show with "front row seats", from our cruise vessel docked right in the New York Harbor.  

Featuring 4 Nights at the Marriott  Marquis--Times Square,  a lovely 4-star hotel.

You do not need prior experience or be an artist.  This painting class will take approximately 4 hours to complete.  We will break 30 minutes for lunch.  the class requires a lot of standing but your end result                                          will be well worth it!!

                      Supplies that you will need to bring:

Yard stick, ruler, "Frog" tape, extension cord, hair dryer, utility knife or exacto knife, and white eraser.  We will be painting on a 2' x 2' square and can be displayed indoors or outside.  Several patterns will be available to pick from.  This class is limited to please be sure to register soon.  For samples go to facebook and search  Barn Quilts by Beverly.

Spaces are 8ft x 8ft and are $25.00, limit two booths per crafter.  We will provide electricity for $3.00, but this is limited so it will be on a first come first serve basis.  You may bring your own tables or you are may rent 6 foot tables for $8.00/each.  Two chairs will be provided per space.  A brown bag lunch will be available for $7.00.  this will include a chicken croissant, bag of chips, cookie and a bottle of water.  RSVP for the lunch.  We will have complimentary coffee and donuts for the crafters and volunteers Saturday morning until 9 a.m.

Step back in time with historian Mike Gilbert to learn about the Kennedy Family including JFK's parents, all nine children, and the background of Rose Kennedy and her parents.

This class will talk about the stories of Ohio's 8 first ladies, the truly remarkable women they were including their struggles and fascinating history of their lives.

As a result of the swamp, Northwest Ohio was the last section to be settled in Ohio.  Experience the hardships faced by the early settlers and their attempts to control the environment.
